Inner journey
Inner Journey is a platformer where you play as a doll who travels through her emotions. Explore emotions, solve puzzles across different levels, and avoid monsters.
The game was created in March - April 2021 during the 2.5D event organized by ISART Digital in collaboration with Game Programmers.

Details
Inner Journey was my first group video game project, and it taught me a lot about working in a group, versioning with Git Fork, and working collaboratively with other professions... As a group, we worked on the 3Cs, the bomb mechanics, and the level design bricks, and then we divided up a level between each person. The theme of our game is emotions, we assigned each level an emotion. Mine was about anger, so I wanted to reflect that in my level design. We started by making a 2D-level design in Illustrator, then we built it as a block design using Unity Pro Builder. It was at this stage that I had to start again because I realized that there was a discrepancy between 2D and 3D, and the tests weren't very conclusive. So I redid my level and finished by dressing it up with a few assets to give it a Volcano look. As I have an artistic side, I made the 2D elements of the game, i.e. the bombs, but also the chara designs for the Doll and the enemies, which I also animated.
