Details
The aim of this project was to develop and design the 3Cs of a game (Camera, Character, Controls). We wanted to try out VR for this project, as it was a big novelty for us and brought its own set of challenges. First of all, it was our first project with the Unreal Engine 4, our first project with the Perforce versioning tool, and our first project in VR! My first job was to set up Trello, plan meetings and brainstorms, and manage the borrowing of headsets... I also took care of the artistic direction of the project by creating the template for our documents using Photoshop and PowerPoint. It was an important job because the elements in the template were used for the One Page Document and the 3C Document, but the elements were also used on the magic book in the game! In the game, I also created the 3D, animation and textures for the grimoire, as well as the VFX for the selected spells, based on an asset. The 3D elements in the game come from an asset pack, so we wanted to give a visual aspect to our sandbox to give a better idea of the interactions, distances, the way the puzzles are approached, etc.
